
Eric Neuhaus is an Emmy Award-nominated television executive and a seasoned documentary and unscripted executive producer with over 25 years of experience in developing, producing, and selling nonfiction television, documentaries, podcasts, and adaptable intellectual property. Through Neuhaus Creative Group, he creates original projects and offers guidance to producers, filmmakers, authors, podcasters, and rights holders on transforming true stories into compelling content for television and streaming.
Throughout his career, Eric has produced more than 500 hours of programming and played a critical role in developing and selling over 50 series and specials. His impressive credits include serving as an executive producer of the Emmy-nominated Netflix documentary Bitconned and creating Tanked, the long-running Animal Planet series that produced over 150 episodes. He also served as executive producer for Dirty Rotten Scandals: America’s Next Top Model on Peacock.
With extensive experience in podcast development and adapting existing IP for the screen, Eric's cross-platform work includes Betrayal, which transitioned from a successful podcast to a Hulu television series; Confronting: O.J. Simpson; Creating a Con: The Story of Bitconned; and The Curse of America’s Next Top Model. Additionally, he manages film and television rights for Birch Literary, advising creators on concept development, access, pitch decks, sizzle reels, packaging, and sales strategy.
Eric is an insightful nonfiction author and frequently writes and speaks on topics related to documentary storytelling, unscripted and reality television, true crime, media ethics, adaptation, and the evolving entertainment marketplace. His commentary is featured in national and industry publications, including Katie Couric Media and Advertising Week. As a member of the Producers Guild of America and a participant on the James Beard Broadcast Media Awards Subcommittee, he has also taught at New York University.
